If You Are Good, You Don’t Have To Say It

You have probably heard this statement: “If you are good you do not have to tell people.” So, if you are good at what you do, people can see it. If you are a person of integrity, you do not have to tell them, it should be evident in the life you live. The same statement applies to the health of your organization. If your organization is healthy, others will notice. The following is an example:

Recently two executive level leaders from another organization spent a day with our team. At the end of the day, I asked what they observed. For the next 30 minutes, the two leaders quoted specific words used in our Leadership Team Meeting. The men expressed admiration on how our team collaborated and empowered each other. They also noticed the close relationships, how we were all aligned (no silos), and that there was an encouraging spirit in the room. What I realized is that they articulated our organization’s Guiding Principles (how we work together as a team).

When an organization is healthy, people take notice. One of the most rewarding services I provide is helping to create a healthy culture in companies.

Is your organization healthy? If not, it can become healthy in a matter of months.
