I like to think of a healthy mindset as a “Growth Mindset.”
Someone with a growth mindset sees the potential in themselves and others. They believe that nothing is fixed, but improvement is always possible.
Steps To Grow a Healthy Mindset
1. Believe In Yourself
Don’t listen to the negative voices saying you are not good enough. Expect to have success in life. Remember, limiting beliefs limit your potential.
2. Instill Good Self-Awareness
Having a healthy mindset doesn’t mean you are in denial of your flaws. Become quick to admit failure and willing to correct your mistakes. I call this taking ownership of your responsibilities.
3. Become a Lifelong Learner
Always be open to learning new things and look for ways to improve yourself and others. Education is not a destination but a lifelong journey.
4. Develop a Daily Plan to Achieve Success
Successful people understand the science of goals and the need to have lead measures for each goal.
5. Find a Purpose Bigger Than You
A purpose guides you and makes a difference in people’s lives. It is your “North Star.”
6. Keep Life’s Challenges in Perspective
Focus on the positive aspects of every situation. Be realistic, but understand that being positive will lead to solutions.
7. Surround Yourself with People Who Make You Better
Avoid toxic people. Instead, seek out people who are positive, like-minded, and supportive. Guard their inner circle wisely.
