Many times, the greatest addition in life and work is subtraction.
We have only so many hours in a day, so it is truly an addition when you subtract certain activities.
Here’s why:
1. Doing less allows you to focus on a few top priorities each day. This practice leads to more efficient work, not additional work.
2. Creates margin to deal with the unexpected, which will undoubtedly arise.
3. Reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed and anxious.
4. Helps you become more decisive. Too many activities/priorities cause indecisiveness.
Action Step: Review your everyday commitments and decide what activities you can subtract.
